Virat Kohli and Dinesh Karthik crashed KKR bowlers in the slog overs to take RCB to a daunting 182-run total in match number 10 of the IPL 2024 season.

While Kohli pummeled Starc at the top and at the death, blistering wicketkeeper-batsman Karthik took a special liking to Andre Russell in the penultimate over of the RCB innings at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.

Virat Kohli listed a scintillating 83* off just 59 balls to top-score in RCB’s 182-run effort against KKR. After flogging the KKR bowlers in the powerplay overs, the cricketer anchored his innings during the middle stages amidst tumbling wickets, before going berserk at the death.

Kohli, who flicked Mitchell Starc for a soaring six onto his leg side, even replicated his monster hit once again in the final over of the RCB innings.

Meanwhile, Dinesh Karthik bludgeoned two huge sixes off Andre Russell in the space of three deliveries during his eight-ball 20-run cameo at the death.

Apart from Virat Kohli and Dinesh Karthik, RCB number three Cameron Green listed 33 off 21 balls while Glenn Maxwell produced a handy 28 in the middle overs.

During the course of RCB’s high-scoring innings, the franchise also became the second in IPL history to complete 1,500 sixes within the hallowed arena of the tournament.
