West Indies, right-arm bowler, Alzarri Joseph was the man of the moment in Match 26 between West Indies and New Zealand of the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2024 at the Brian Lara Stadium on Thursday.

Glenn Phillips almost took the game away from the Caribbean team with his impressive 40 runs off 33 balls. However, Alzarri Joseph struck back by as he dismissed the key player.

Joseph delivered a back-of-a-length ball at 131.4 kph on middle and leg stumps. Phillips attempted to pull it in front of the square but was slightly late on the stroke, that resulted in a top edge.

The ball went high on the leg side without much distance, and Rovman Powell ran in from the long-on boundary towards the 30-yard circle to take a fine catch.

Shortly after Phillips' dismissal, Tim Southee came to the crease but was quickly sent back. Joseph claimed another wicket with a back-of-a-length delivery at 137.9 kph outside the off stump.

Southee shuffled across and attempted an awkward stroke with an angled bat, that aimed for a scoop but ended up playing a half-hearted pull shot.

The ball flew off the splice of the bat towards the leg side. Joseph ran back into the mid-on region and took a terrific return catch.
