It seemed like Andre Russell would turn out to be West Indies' hero tonight, but the ever-reliable Trent Boult had some other plans. The Kiwi pacer bowled a well-disguised slower ball and took the vital wicket of the Windies all-rounder.

Put into bat by the Kiwis, West Indies had a disastrous start, losing Johnson Charles to Boult in the first over. Wickets fell like a pack of cards as Tim Southee joined the party and took wickets from the other end.

Despite early inroads, the West Indian camp still had high hopes as Russell was about to join the crease. However, after playing a couple of stellar shots, Boult showed his class and foxed the Windies batter with a slower delivery that sent Russell back to the pavilion.

The New Zealand pacer bowled an off-cutter as the destructive batter went for a slog and got a top-edge. The ball ballooned in the air and Ferguson takes a simple catch at short-third.

Despite boasting a power-packed batting lineup, the West Indies team surrendered against some quality bowling from the Kiwis, who need to win this game to stay alive in the race for the Super-8.
