Martin Guptill may have retired from international cricket but he is still capable enough to play at the highest level, as witnessed in the Legends 90 league match in Raipur on Monday. The former Kiwi great went berserk and smashed a brilliant 160 off 49 balls to torment the opposition bowlers.

Playing for Chhattisgarh Warriors, brought his best against Big Boys and took them to the cleaners with one of the best assault of the year. Opening alongside Rishi Dhawan, Guptill shared an unbeaten 240-run stand for the opening wicket as the Warriors didn't even lose a single wicket.

The duo went berserk, but Martin Guptill, in particular was severe as his innings included 12 fours and 16 sixes, and struck at 326. Some of his shots went out of the park as the bowlers were made to look clueless. Courtesy of his sublime knock, the Warriors registered an emphatic one-sided win.

Guptill recently retired from international cricket

Earlier this year, the Kiwi stalwart announced his retirement from international cricket. He called curtains on his 15-year-long career and retired as one of New Zealand's best-ever opener.

He became the first Kiwi batter to score a double century in ODIs, a feat he achieved in the 2015 World Cup. In 198 ODI matches, the right-handed batter amassed 7346 runs, including 18 centuries. In T20Is, he had 3531 runs in 122 matches, and in 47 Tests, Guptill racked up 2586 runs, at an average of 29.38.

Post retirement he showcased his calibre in the Legends 90 league as witnessed in the clash against Big Boys.
