For all the people who questioned Kane Williamson's approach in ODI cricket, the Kiwi batter responded back in a stunning way as he reached his fifty in just 44-balls against South Africa and reached the landmark with a massive six off Tabraiz Shamsi.

New Zealand needed a tricky 305 runs to make two out of two in the ongoing tri-nation series and for that, they needed Williamson to fire all guns blazing, which he did. It was expected that in a high-scoring chase, Devon Conway would be the one to take the aggressive route, but that didn't happen.

Instead, Kane Williamson turned on the aggressive mode and took the South African attack to the cleaners. The highlight of his knock was a sublime six he struck off Shamsi. The Proteas spinner tossed it up as the Kiwi batter was ready for the task. He stepped down the track and met the ball with the middle of the bat to smash a six over long-off.

He was batting at 44, and with that hit he brought up his half-century mark with a massive six to stun the crowd.

South African sensation scores 140 on ODI debut

South Africa fielded an inexperienced playing XI since most of their senior players were busy in the SA20 competition and some of them had just landed in Pakistan on Monday.

The pressure was on the young Proteas team and Matthew Breetzke didn't disappoint as the batter smashed nearly half of the team's total. He blasted a well-compiled 150 off 148 balls as the other batters didn't contribute much.

Courtesy of his efforts, the South African team managed to post 304 runs on the board to pose a challenging total for the opposition.
