After a satisfying victory against the Indian side before going into the World Cup, Pat Cummins' Australia will breathe a sigh of relief, considering they lost five ODIs before the third game at Rajkot. Cummins, who led his side wonderfully in the final game of the series, which ended in India's favour by 2-1, spoke about his side's chances in the mega-event.

Speaking in the post-match presentation, Cummins was quite satisfied to bowl at night rather than in the heat, as the temperatures were in the mid-30s during the day.

He talked about his side's two crucial players, all-rounder Glenn Maxwell (4/40) and left-arm pacer Mitchell Starc (1/53), who returned after their respective injuries.

However, the skipper shed light on opener Travis Head, who was in high-flying form during the South Africa series and got his thumb fractured.

Cummins made it clear that Head won't be able to feature in the starting phase of the World Cup, infact, the first two weeks. Adding that Ashton Agar, too, is back home with a calf injury.

"I must say I'm pretty happy to bowl in the night than in the heat. Both have not played a lot, Maxwell four-fer and Starcy looked in great rhythm. Travis Head won't be fit for the start of the tournament. I will be pretty worried about opening the bowling against them [on Warner-Mitch Marsh]. Ashton Agar is back home with a calf, and Head won't be fit for the next couple of weeks. Happy as it was the first hit where we have had almost a full-strength team."

Like the previous Aussie sides that starred at the World Cup, the team looks solid after the return of their prime players, including Steve Smith, Maxwell, Starc and Cummins himself.
