The D-Day is almost here as India and Australia meet for the first Test of the highly-anticipated Border Gavaskar Trophy. The first Test will take place at the Optus Stadium in Perth from 22 November, Friday onwards.

India, who will be missing the services of their regular skipper Rohit Sharma due to the birth of his son; will be lead by pace sensation Jasprit Bumrah. The Indian team has suffered some injury scares, and it is expected that Shubman Gill will likely miss out in the upcoming Test due to a injury he sustained on his finger while batting in the nets. Other than this, the playing XI is expected to feature KL Rahul, who will open alongside Yashasvi Jaiswal in the absence of Rohit.

On the flip side, Australia led by Pat Cummins, will likely witness Nathan McSweeney debut and  open alongside Usman Khwaja. The team is expected to go with the three pacers and one spinner combination for the intense clash.
