Indian batter Suryakumar Yadav etched his name in the history books with his fourth T20I century on Thursday, December 14. He achieved this feat during the third and final T20I match against South Africa in Johannesburg.

With this century, the stylish Indian batter, appointed as Indian captain in the absence of Hardik Pandya, officially became a part of the elite club that includes Rohit Sharma and Glenn Maxwell, each having scored four centuries in the shortest format of the game. 

Suryakumar Yadav, famed for his unique shot selection, scored 100 runs from just 56 balls, with the help of seven boundaries and eight towering sixes. Thanks to his outstanding knock, India managed to post a mammoth total of 201 runs on the board. 

Adding to his list of achievements, the Mumbai batter also surpassed South African batter David Miller in terms of hitting the most sixes as a non-opener. Surykaumar Yadav now has 115 sixes to his name in T20I. Eoin Morgan tops this list with 120 sixes to his name.

As for the match, South Africa found themselves under pressure while chasing a mammoth target, ultimately being bowled out for just 95 runs in 13.5 overs. From India, star spinner Kuldeep Yadav shone, picking up a sensational five-wicket haul. The series ended in a tie 1-1, with one match being abandoned due to rain.
