On Wednesday, the International Cricket Council (ICC) unveiled the ICC Players of the Month for November 2024 and Pakistan's Haris Rauf was named ICC Men's Player of the Month. While, England Women's Danni Wyatt-Hodge was crowned as ICC Women's Player of the Month.

Haris Rauf Wears ICC Player Of The Month Crown

Pakistan fast bowler Haris Rauf's outstanding performances in Australia, where Pakistan clinched their first ODI series win since 2002, earned him the prestigious award.

Notably, Haris Rauf’s impressive bowling figures, including 13 wickets in six ODIs at an average of 16.61, pushed him to a career-high 13th position in the ICC Men’s ODI Bowling Rankings. His heroics in Australia, particularly his five-wicket haul in Adelaide, and 4-22 in Sydney were a spectacle that led to Pakistan’s historic series victory.

The 31-year-old pacer’s return to ODI cricket after a year-long hiatus was marked by his fiery pace and wicket-taking ability. He continued his impressive form in the subsequent T20I series against Australia and later in Zimbabwe. Notably, this was Rauf's maiden Player of the Month award. Rauf follows his teammate Noman Ali who won the same award for the month of October.

Danni Wyatt-Hodge Joins Haris Rauf For The Crown

England Women’s explosive batter, Danni Wyatt-Hodge, has been crowned the ICC Women’s Player of the Month for November. Her exceptional performances in the recent T20I series against South Africa were instrumental in England’s 3-0 whitewash.

Wyatt-Hodge amassed a total of 142 runs in the series, averaging 71 and striking at an impressive rate of 163.21. She also achieved the milestone of scoring 3,000 runs in WT20Is, becoming the second-fastest player to reach this landmark.

Danni's outstanding performances have earned her the prestigious award, edging out strong competition from South Africa’s Nadine de Klerk and Bangladesh’s Sharmin Akhter. This is the third time an English player has won the award this year, following Maia Boucher and Tammy Beaumont.
