It has been a tiring Day 4 for England as India made the hosts bowl again for the entire day, while the batters smashed the bowlers all across the park. Shubman Gill was again the star with the bat as the India captain became the second Indian to score a double hundred and a century in the same match.

At the time of writing, India are 341/4 and with a lead of 170 runs, England will have to chase down a 500+ runs target, a feat never achieved before in Test cricket.

Brook Requests Gill To Let England

While India rode on Gill's heroics, the English stars were frustrated to see the India captain bat all day long, particularly Harry Brook, who was captured appealing to the 25-year-old for an early declaration.

Notably, in a video released by Star Sports, Brook, who was standing at the slips, came toward Gill and reminded him of the weather forecast for Day 5.

The English prodigy urged the Indian captain to declare with 450 runs on the board, as rain is predicted for the entire afternoon on Day 5. Further, the England vice-captain also told Gill to take the draw.

"Shubman, it's raining tomorrow. Half day. Afternoon, it's raining," Brook reminded Gill. The Indian captain quickly quipped with a "Bad luck for us" remark, which drew laughter from Brook, and he finished the conversation by urging the star batter to "Take a draw (Brook)."

Gill, Gambhir Pose Toughest Challenge For England

At the time of writing, India are 410/4 and are looking to put a 600+ target on the board for the Three Lions. After declaration, England would be asked to chase down the highest total in Test cricket.

It is worth noting that 418 is the highest total ever chased down in the history of Test cricket, a feat West Indies achieved against Australia.
