Shubman Gill punched out his eighth Test century and the second of the match through his batting masterclass against England in the second Indian innings of the Edgbaston Test. Fresh from his 269-run epic from the first innings, Gill completed the landmark figure from 129 deliveries as India’s lead soared past the 500-run mark on Day 4.
With a double century and a century in the same match, the Indian captain has now joined an elite league of legendary players to have achieved this rare feat, further cementing his name in Test record books.
