India A walloped Australia A in Kanpur to take a 1-0 lead in the three-match series. Captain Shreyas Iyer and his IPL teammate Priyansh Arya whacked scintillating centuries upfront before bowler Nishant Sindhu dismantled the Australian line-up.

Shreyas Iyer, Priyansh Arya ton up for India A
India A mounted 413-6 from 50 overs after batting first. Opening batter Priyansh Arya belted 101 runs in just 84 balls with 11 fours and five huge sixes, and shared a huge 135-run stand with Prabhsimran Singh (56 off 53) in just 20 overs. Captain Shreyas Iyer at number three also whacked a regal 110 off 83 balls with 12 fours and four maximums in his List A return. IPL superstars Riyan Parag (67 off 42) and Ayush Badoni (50 off 27) unleashed cracking half-centuries in the backend to turbo-charge the India A innings.
For Australia A, Will Sutherland (2-73) picked up two wickets in his expensive nine-over spell. Ton Straker, Liam Scott, Todd Murphy and Tanveer Sangha also chipped in with a wicket each.
Nishant Sindu, Ravi Bishnoi blow away Australia A
Australia A raced to a commanding 116-1 in just 12 overs to signal their early intent, with Cooper Connolly making a quick 33 off 21 balls. Aggressive opener Mackenzie Harvey also scored 68 with seven fours and two sixes to herald Australia’s pacey start. Lachlan Shaw carried on the good work at number four with a quick 32-ball 45 as the visitors soared past the 150-run mark well inside the first 20 overs.
However, India A bowlers tilted the tide with quick wickets, and even reduced Australia A from 169-2 to 204-8 at one stage. Nishant Sindhu bagged four key wickets to claim sensational figures of 4-50. Ayush Badoni and Ravi Bishnoi chipped in with two wickets each as Australia A folded up for 242 in 37.1 overs to fall 171 runs short of their target.
