West Indies obliterated Pakistan in the third ODI to clinch the series 2-1. Captain Shai Hope led his team from the front with a splendid century in the series-decider before fast bowler Jayden Seales decimated Pakistan’s famed batting line-up with a six-wicket haul.

Here, we take a look at the entire highlights of the third ODI of the three-match series, as it panned out at the Brian Lara Stadium in Tarouba on Tuesday, August 12.

Shai Hope Boosts West Indies Up To 294

West Indies lost each of their top three batters by the time of reaching 68 in 19 overs, and it took them more than 26 overs to breach the 100-run mark. Captain Shai Hope at number four led West Indies’ recovery with a swift 64-run partnership with Roston Chase (36 off 29). After slipping to 184-6 in 42 overs, Hope turbo-charged West Indies up to a monumental 294-6 by the completion of their innings, as the hosts aggregated 67 runs from the final five overs.

The skipper himself notched up his 18th ODI century by racing to 120* off 94 balls. Justin Greaves also made a crucial 43* off 24 during the slog overs. For Pakistan, Naseem Shah and Abrar Ahmed picked up two wickets each in the innings.

Jayden Seales Blows Away Pakistan

West Indies fast bowler Jayden Seales struck thrice in his first two overs and four times in the first 10 overs of the Pakistan run-chase, removing Saim Ayub, Abdullah Shafique and visiting captain Mohammad Rizwan all for ducks and besting prolific number three Babar Azam for a sluggish nine.

Spinners Gudakesh Motie (2-37) and Roston Chase (1-16) ran through the rest of the Pakistani middle-order by picking up three wickets between them. Seales polished off the tail in his return spell to claim career-best ODI figures of 6-18 as West Indies bundled out Pakistan for just 92 in 29.2 overs.
