Former India and Chennai Super Kings cricketer, Suresh Raina, has been summoned by the Enforcement Directorate (ED), for questioning related to promoting an illegal betting app - 1xBET. Interestingly, Raina is the brand ambassador of this app, and will reach Delhi on Wednesday for further interrogation by the ED.

Trouble calling for Suresh Raina

The interrogation will be done at the ED headquarters, and apart from the India cricketer, several Bollywood stars will also be questioned for the same. As per NDTV report, Suresh Raina will appear before the probing agency on Wednesday, and his statements will be recorded under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA).

As per reports, Raina is linked with the illegal betting app, and ED will try, and understand the links during questioning on Wednesday morning.

A look into Suresh Raina's Net Worth as ED summons him

If Raina is found guilty in some way or the other, the former cricketer's assets could be seized by the ED. The former World Cup winner has earned a lot through cricket, endorsement deals, and commentary, and if anything suspicious is found, the cricketer could land in trouble.

As per various reports, Raina's net worth is approximately 185 crore, which he has earned through various sources. Raina also owns a restaurant in the Netherlands, and has earned through brand deals since his playing days.

A sneak peak into Raina's career

Raina made his international debut in 2005, and after a string of poor performances, the batter was dropped from the side. However, the inaugural IPL season changed his fortunes as the batter performed exceptionally well, and was once again called in the India side. He was pivotal in India's 2011 World Cup triumph, playing crucial knocks in the quarter final against Australia, and the semis against arch-rivals, Pakistan.

The batter finished his career with 5615 ODI runs, 768 Test runs, and 1605 in T20I matches.
