Islamabad United skipper, Shadab Khan joined the elite club of PSL legends on Wednesday by grabbing his 100th wicket in the league. He dismissed none other than Mohammad Rizwan in a high-octane clash against Multan Sultans at the jam-packed Multan Cricket Stadium.

Shadab Dismisses Rizwan To Complete 100 PSL Wickets

In the 14th over of Multan’s innings, Mohammad Rizwan was batting on 36 and looking to anchor the innings. But Shadab had other plans. He tossed one up as Rizwan advanced to go inside out but failed to reach the pitch of the ball and chipped a simple catch to the cover fielder.

That moment didn’t just shift the momentum, it etched Shadab Khan's name in bold letters in PSL history as the fourth bowler to achieve the feat after Wahab Riaz, Hasan Ali, and Shaheen Afridi.

Meanwhile, Multan Sultans put up a fighting total of 168/5 on a slightly two-paced Multan pitch, thanks largely to Usman Khan’s classy 61 off 40 balls. Yasir Khan gave them an electric start with a 17-ball 29 while Rizwan played second fiddle with a more sedate 36 off 37.

The momentum dipped in the middle overs, but a cameo from Kamran Ghulam (13 off 6) gave the innings a late lift. The Sultans would've hoped for a few more runs, but on this track, 168 looks like a fighting total, especially with the kind of firepower they have got in their bowling unit.
