In MLC 2025, Washington Freedom put on a spectacular display against Seattle Orcas, winning the match by 8 wickets and successfully chasing down the target in a mere 9.2 overs. Orcas were bowled out for a mere 82 runs in the first inning, the third-lowest total to be recorded in the history of MLC.
Freedom won the toss and chose to bowl first. Netravalkar made an instant impact by removing Shayan Jahangir with the very first ball of the match. Then came Glenn Maxwell’s magic in the powerplay. He took three big wickets, Aaron Jones, Steven Taylor, and Kyle Mayers, and the Orcas were left struggling at 21 for 5 after just 6 overs.
