Major League Cricket (MLC), the United States’ premier T20 league, has already witnessed its share of unforgettable batting debacles. Here’s a detailed look at the 5 lowest team scores in MLC history, a list no team wants to top.

5.⁠ ⁠San Francisco Unicorns - 103/10 vs Washington Freedom

In the MLC 2023 edition, the San Francisco Unicorns were bowled out for just 103 runs by Washington Freedom in fixture no.11. The Unicorns were tasked to chase down a 134-run target in a low-scoring thriller. 

However, Saurabh Netravalkar unleashed carnage with the ball. He picked a 6-wicket-haul in 3.5 overs and conceded just 9 runs to single-handedly bowl out San Francisco for a shambolic total and fetch a 30-run comfortable win for the Freedom.

4.⁠ ⁠Los Angeles Knight Riders - 95/10 vs Washington Freedom

Los Angeles Knight Riders dropped to a low in the MLC 2025 edition. Chasing a mighty total of 209 runs, LA’s top order spiralled under pressure, as openers Alex Hales, Sunil Narine and no.3 batter Unmukt Chand went back on a duck each. 

The lower order also failed to recover as Knight Riders were reduced to 95 runs in the second inning. Jack Edwards and Mitchell Owen picked 3 wickets each whereas Saurabh Netravalkar contributed with 2 dismissals.

3.⁠ ⁠MI New York - 88/10 vs Washington Freedom

Despite having several T20 stars in their lineup, MI New York crumbled to 88 against a fiery Washington Freedom bowling unit in 2024. Chasing 183, early wickets fell in a cluster, and the middle order offered no resistance as the top 6 batters failed to move past single-digit scores. 

It was a shocking result given MI’s otherwise strong batting reputation. Four bowlers from Freedom chipped in with a minimum of 2 wickets and bowled out New York to just 88 runs and won the game by a huge margin of 94 runs.

2.⁠ ⁠Seattle Orcas - 60/10 vs Texas Super Kings

The Seattle Orcas created an unfortunate record when they were bowled out for just 60 runs in the 2025 season, the second-lowest total in MLC history. The Texas Super Kings had 153 runs on the table in the first inning. 

However, in the chase, they tore through the Orcas’ batting lineup with ruthless efficiency.

1.⁠ ⁠Los Angeles Knight Riders - 50/10 vs MI New York

The record for the lowest total recorded in MLC history belongs to the Los Angeles Knight Riders when they succumbed to just 50 runs against MI New York in 2023. MI posted 150 runs on the board in the first inning but LA crumbled in the chase. 

Apart from Unmukt Chand, no batter from Knight Riders managed to score in double digits, resulting in a shambolic collapse. All bowlers from MI picked 2 wickets each to bowl out LA for just 50 runs and win the game by 105 runs.
