In a remarkable achievement, young Indian batter B Sai Sudharsan has dethroned swashbuckling West Indies batter Nicholas Pooran, claiming the orange cap in the IPL 2025. Sudharsan attained the phenomenal feat during Gujarat Titans' (GT) ongoing encounter against Delhi Capitals (DC) at Narendra Modi Stadium. 

Sudharsan Goes Past Pooran To Claim The Orange Cap

B Sai Sudharsan has showcased incredible batting prowess in the IPL 2025. The left-handed batter has been remarkably consistent with the bat, emerging as GT's most prolific batter this season. 

Most Runs In IPL 2025

As shown in the above table, Sudharsan leads the chart with 365 runs under his belt. However, he couldn't get a massive lead, as Kuldeep Yadav got his prized scalp at a crucial juncture of the match. 

Nicholas Pooran follows him at number two and he could reclaim the throne, considering LSG will be up against RR tonight. Mitchell Marsh is also in the race, having amassed 295 runs in the competition. 

Meanwhile, KL Rahul and Suryakumar Yadav claim the fourth and fifth spots, respectively, on the list. 

DC Tighten Grip Over Nail-Biting Contest

Riding on the bowlers' disciplined effort, the Capitals have claimed the driving seat in the high-profile IPL 2025 encounter against GT. As of writing, the Titans were 87 for two in 9.1 overs, with Jos Buttler and Sherfane Rutherford batting on 40* and 3*, respectively.
