Meanwhile, Sunrisers Eastern Cape is in a much stronger position on the points table. They currently sit third on the points table with 19 points and a healthy net run rate.

Moreover, the Eastern Cape is also coming off a win against MI Cape Town. After setting up a 175-run par target, the bowlers held their nerves to secure a nail-biting four-run win.

With 18 needed off the final over, Sunrisers skipper Aiden Markram summoned Daniel Worrall to finish the job. However, Worrall struggled initially, as he ended up leaking 10 runs in the first three deliveries.

Regardless, the bowler backed his strengths and executed slower deliveries to perfection as the Eastern Cape survived a close scare.
