The 24th match of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2024 is set to be played between Karachi Kings and Islamabad United at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium on Thursday, March 7.

Karachi Kings have had a mixed season so far, with three wins and four losses in their seven outings.

Karachi Kings will look to build on their win over Quetta Gladiators

Their campaign, a mixed bag of fortunes, is now geared towards a crucial showdown against Islamabad United—a team that previously handed them a 7-wicket defeat, leaving a bitter taste in their mouths and a thirst for revenge.

At the vanguard of Karachi Kings' batting lineup, Shan Masood and Tim Seifert are set to blaze a trail, opening the innings with the hope of laying a solid foundation. Yet, it's the No. 3 spot that's under the microscope, with Karachi likely to shuffle the deck.

Leus du Plooy is tipped to step in for James Vince, who has struggled to make an impact in the last two matches. This tactical tweak could be the ace up their sleeve, aiming to bolster the batting order.

The heart of the lineup remains a fortress, with stalwarts Shoaib Malik, Kieron Pollard, Irfan Khan, and Mohammad Nawaz holding fort. This quartet has been the backbone of the team.

On the bowling front, Hasan Ali is set to spearhead the attack, riding high on a wave of momentum from his Player of the Match performance— a masterclass of four wickets for 15 runs in four overs.

Mir Hamza, Blessing Muzarabani, and Zahid Mahmood are complementing him, each having showcased their mettle in the victorious match against Quetta Gladiators. Their synergy and lethal deliveries will be key in dismantling Islamabad United's batting lineup.
