Rohit Sharma will go down as one of the greatest white-ball batters in the history of the game. He has broken plenty of records over the years, and now in the game against CSK, he has reached another significant milestone. The right-handed batter is now the second leading run-scorer in IPL history and has gone past Shikhar Dhawan who has 6729 runs in 221 innings.

Rohit Sharma Returns To Form Against CSK

Rohit has surpassed that number in his 259th IPL innings, and is now only behind Virat Kohli who is at the top of the list with 8326 runs in 252 innings. Rohit went past Shikhar Dhawan when he scored he hit a six off the bowling of Pathirana in the final ball of the 14th over.

Along with the three top Indian batters, David Warner is fourth in the list with 6565 runs while Suresh Raina is fifth with 5528 runs. Thus, four of the top five run-scorers in IPL are Indian and it speaks a lot about their impact on the history of the league.
