Kohli Can’t Stop Praising Padikkal
Everyone knows who is the best at chasing, and the man proved the fact right once again. While chasing the 158-run total, RCB lost an early wicket, and Devdutt Padikkal joined Virat Kohli on the crease. After that, there was no looking back as the duo gave a huge boost to RCB’s innings.
After a series of setbacks, Padikkal smashed a fifty and played a fiery innings of 61 runs in 35 balls. After his dismissal, Virat Kohli went on and remained unbeaten on 73 runs in just 54 deliveries. That contribution earned him a Player of the Match award. But true to his nature, Kohli’s heart shone through as he dedicated the praise to Padikkal’s brilliant knock, insisting he deserved the award.
“I don’t know why I’ve been given the POTM award. Devdutt Padikkal was the one who created the difference in this chase.” Kohli said.
RCB Takes The Revenge Back
After a humiliating defeat in the last match against Shreyas Iyer and Co., the Royal Challengers Bengaluru bounced back with a dominating victory. Bowling first, Suyash Sharma and Krunal Pandya picked up two wickets each, while the rest of the bowling unit kept the pressure on and held the opposition to just 157 runs.
While chasing down the total, Virat Kohli and Devdutt Padikkal paved the way for the win. As Phil Salt walked away on 1 run, Kohli and Padikkal’s 103-run partnership. Rajat Patidar walked away scoring 12 runs. Within 19 overs, they chased down the total and won the match by 7 wickets.
