The onus was on Shivam Dube and Ravindra Jadeja to accelerate the innings for CSK and take the team to a formidable total. The two southpaws first stabilised the innings and then as they settled down look to take down the MI bowlers.
As Shivam Dube was getting into his own, Jasprit Bumrah helped the batter to reach his first half-century in IPL 2025. The left-handed middle-order batter was stuggling to get going throughout the season. However, the Bumrah volleying his catch for a maximum and then following it up with another six added to confidence of the batter.
Bumrah Fails To Take Dube's Catch
On the third delivery of the 16th over, Ashwini Kumar bowled a full toss at the knee of Shivam Dube. The batter swatted the ball away towards deep fine leg. Jasprit Bumrah, who was fielding in the deepp ran to his left and then tried to take the catch. However, all the Indian ace pacer managed was to parry the ball over the rope for a maximum.
However. Bumrah soon made up for his mistake. In the next over, the Indian pacer picked up the wicket of Shivam Dube and did the job for his team.
