In a remarkable achievement, Yashasvi Jaiswal and KL Rahul registered the second-highest opening partnership for India on Australian soil in this century. The dynamic batting duo attained the landmark during the ongoing Test match at Perth Stadium, going past the tally of Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill.

India began the second day in an outstanding fashion, with stand-in captain Jasprit Bumrah leading the chart with a sensational five-wicket haul. The right-arm pacer's magnificent spell helped India restrict the hosts to a paltry 104-run total and secure a valuable 46-run lead in the first innings.

In response, Jaiswal and Rahul ensured a solid start for the visitors, forming a crucial partnership for the opening wicket. After getting their eyes in, the cricketers showcased their stroke-playing ability, dispatching the bad balls into the fence.

Eventually, the stylish batting duo went past Rohit and Gill's tally of 71 runs, recording the second-highest opening partnership for India in Australia in this century.
