Riyan Parag flogged Delhi Capitals with his career-best T20 score in match number nine of the IPL 2024 season on March 28. The cricketer bashed 84 unbeaten runs from just 45 deliveries, and he glittered his innings with seven sizzling boundaries and six soaring sixes.

Parag’s 45-ball batting spectacle set up an emphatic 12-run win for Rajasthan Royals, and the youngster was fittingly adjudged as ‘Player of the Match’ for his efforts.

Remarkably, the match was also the 100th of Parag’s T20 career, and he went past the likes of Rishabh Pant, Rajasthan Royals teammate Sanju Samson, Washington Sundar and Ishan Kishan for an illustrious national record.

Playing his landmark match at the age of 22 years and 139 days, the dashing all-rounder also became the youngest Indian cricketer to complete 100 matches in the game’s shortest format.

The elite Indian record was previously held by Rajasthan Royals skipper Sanju Samson. After Riyan Parag’s milestone appearance, here is an updated look at five youngest Indian players to feature in 100 T20 matches:

Parag, emboldened with his latest match-winning effort against Delhi Capitals, will now turn up for his team in their subsequent IPL 2024 bout against Mumbai Indians on April 1 at the Wankhede Stadium.
