India's explosive batsman Rinku Singh displayed grit, patience, and maturity as he hammered a brilliant century to rescue Uttar Pradesh. This occurred on Day 4 of the Ranji Trophy 2025-26 match against Andhra Pradesh.

Joining the team when UP were in trouble at 294/6, still behind Andhra's massive first-innings score of 470, Rinku asserted himself with steady calm.

Partnering with Vipraj Nigam, he steadied the innings and helped UP regain control of the match.

Rinku Singh slams 165* in flashy Ranji knock

Vipraj Nigam and Rinku Singh slammed a 112-run partnership for the 7th wicket and turned the tide for Uttar Pradesh, frustrating Andhra’s bowlers who had been on top since Day 3.

On Day 4, Rinku came out with timely aggression, ensuring the scoreboard kept ticking while protecting his wicket. He converted his century into an unbeaten 165 runs off 273 balls with 13 fours, 2 sixes and a 60.44 strike rate.

This was Rinku’s 8th century in first-class cricket, adding to his impressive record that also includes 22 half-centuries in the longer format.

Earlier in the match, UP’s top order had shown promise with a solid 119-run stand between Madhav Kaushik and Aryan Juyal, but things quickly went downhill.

Poor shot selection and some inspired bowling from Ricky Bhui, who picked up crucial wickets, saw UP slump from 193/2 to 294/6.

Just when Andhra looked set to enforce a big lead, Rinku Singh came to the rescue. His resilience is a stark reminder that Rinku is more than just a T20 power-hitter. He’s a complete batter with the temperament to handle pressure.
