On Saturday, October 25, India and Australia locked horns for the third and final ODI of the three-match series at the Sydney Cricket Ground. It was a visual treat for the fans as Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma returned to action after six long months. 

Now with no more ODIs against Australia, the focus will shift to T20I cricket and Virat and Rohit will return to India as they are only active in ODI cricket. Meanwhile, the fans are curious when they will get to see their favourite stars in action next, and this article throws light on that. 

When will Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma be in action next?

It won't be long before Virat and Rohit will be in action, and interestingly, this time around, they will feature in India. The Men in Blue are all set to host South Africa for an all-format series in November, which also includes three ODIs.

The three fifty-over games will take place from November 30 to December 6. The venues for these matches are Ranchi, Raipur, and Vishakhapatnam, respectively.

For the unversed, this will be for the first time since February 2025 that Rohit and Virat will play a game in India. The last was against England. 

Virat Kohli-Rohit Sharma ends series on a high

It was a special series for Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma as there was a lot of pressure on the two veterans to perform and cement their place for 2027 ODI World Cup. Both Rohit and Virat started the tour on a negative note as Rohit fell in single-digit score, while Kohli fell for a duck.

Rohit redeemed himself in the 2nd ODI with a fifty, but Virat scored two consecutive ducks to put pressure on himself. Nonetheless, in the third ODI, both ended the series on a high with fifty-plus scores.
