Tim David has been an important player for RCB in IPL 2025 and has played the role of a finisher to perfection. However, the batter injured himself in the final over of SRH's innings. It is a worrying sign for RCB with playoffs approaching, and they might need his services in the SRH game too with a record target of 232 infront of them.
It happened while fielding in the boundary line, and it seemed that he pulled his hamstring. He immediately walked off the field and looked in quite a lot of pain.
Huge Tim David Injury Scare For RCB In SRH Match
It was the stretch to stop the ball at the deep backward square leg region that created problem and David immediately knew that something is wrong. There is still no clarity whether he would be available to bat or not, but if the injury is serious, it would be a big problem for RCB.
The hamstring injuries generally take time to heal, and as RCB have already qualified for the playoffs, they might not take a risk to make him bat against SRH. RCB need their other batters to step up though as their highest chase in IPL history is just 204 which came way back in 2010 against Kings XI Punjab.
Tim David has scored 186 runs this season, but all those have been impact runs. His average is 93 and the strike-rate is also over 190, making him an invaluable asset for RCB in IPL 2025, and a player they cannot afford to lose in the playoffs.
