Mayank Agarwal made his IPL debut way back in 2011 as a teenager, and it was for the franchise of his home state, RCB. Since then, he has played for India across formats and in IPL, the batter from Karnataka has played for variety of franchises which includes SRH, Delhi Capitals, Rising Pune Supergiants and Punjab Kings.

Mayank Agarwal Returns For RCB After 12 Years

Now, after a long gap, the stylish right-handed batter is back in RCB as Devdutt Padikkal's replacement. He has been included in the playing XI as well against SRH, and the man is back in the field for RCB after 12 long years. Mayank Agarwal last played for RCB in the 2013 season and in the five matches that edition, the batter managed just 67 runs. His last match was against Chennai Super Kings on April 13, 2013 where he scored 24 runs from 21 balls.

Mayank scored his runs at an average of 13.40 that season, and overall, Mayank has played three seasons for RCB before the 2025 edition.

Mayank Agarwal would be hoping that he does well in his second coming as an RCB player and continue his good form of domestic cricket at the IPL level. Overall, in 128 matches, Mayank Agarwal has scored 2661 runs at an average of 22.74 and strike-rate of 133.05 with one hundred and 13 fifties.

Mayank Agarwal To Take Important Number 3 Position For RCB

Devdutt Padikkal who Mayank Agarwal has replaced in RCB's line-up did well at number 3, and Mayank Agarwal too would be expected to play a same role of an aggressor in the upcoming games. RCB have already qualified for the playoffs and have 17 points in 12 matches. One more win, and they would be favourites to end in top-2 on the points table

SRH, on the other hand, are out of the playoffs race, and would be hoping to spoil RCB's party at the Ekana.
