On Thursday, February 27, two teams who are already out of the Champions Trophy will collide against each other as Pakistan, the host nation wil play their final group stage match against fellow Asian team, Bangladesh at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium. Both the sides, who are yet to taste a victory will look to bow out on a high.
There were high expectations from Pakistan as they were hosting an ICC event after 29 years, but the hopes were dashed as they lost against New Zealand and India and crashed out of the tournament. This game will provide them a chance to salvage their pride.
Bangladesh, on the other hand suffered the same fate. The side suffered a defeat against India in their opening contest and then New Zealand defeated them to knock the Tigers out of the Champions Trophy. This game will be a dead rubber, but rain god is likely to ruin the contest.
