Arshdeep Singh was India's leading wicket-taker in the their victorious 2024 T20 World Cup campaign. Now in the Sri Lanka T20Is too, he is bowling well and in the second game, he drew first blood for India with a big wicket of Kusal Mendis.

The wicket of Mendis came in the fourth over of the match after Arshdeep Singh bowled a short delivery, angling across the right-hander. Kusal Mendis tried to pull it, but miscued it completely as the ball lopped up in the air to the left of mid on. Ravi Bishnoi moved swiftly and took a brilliant sliding catch to hand Sri Lanka a big blow.

Series On Line For Sri Lanka

Earlier, India won the toss and decided to bowl first after rain delayed the game by 45 minutes. India are 1-0 ahead in the series after a 43-run win in the first game, and would be looking to seal the series with another win here. 

For Sri Lanka, this is a do-or-die game and they would like to post a massive total on the board, to put India under pressure in this second game of the series.
