Pathum Nissanka was brilliant with the bat in the first T20I against Sri Lanka and a lot was expected of him when Sri Lanka entered in the second game of the series, a do-or-die game for the home side. The young right-hander started off in good fashion too and scored 32 off 24 balls, but just when he was looking to explode,  Ravi Bishnoi got the better of him with a lovely googly.

It was a touch shortish delivery, around off and the ball turned back in sharply. Nissanka tried to late-cut it, but failed to connect and the ball hit his pad. Indian players though were not quite interested initially, and just made a polite late enquiry. The umpire though after some hesitation raised his finger, and Sri Lanka lost their second wicket on the score of 80.

Nissanka did take the DRS, but the Ball Tracking showed that the impact was umpire's call, and the original decision stayed.

Kusal Perera though batted with great conviction and scored a valiant fifty to keep Sri Lanka going. Hardik Pandya though got two wickets, both of the set batters, Kamindu Mendis and Kusal Perera. So, the second game, just like the first one, it turning out to be an interesting one.
