Rain Frustrates England: Revised Play Timings And Day 2 Hourly Weather Updates Revealed

The start of England's innings in the first Test at Headingley, Leeds was delayed because of rain. Notably, India started the day with a score of 359/3. However, unlike day 1, it was overcast conditions on day 2 and the batters struggled for runs.

Eventually, India lost seven wickets for next 112 runs and put 471 runs on the board. The rain spoiled England's momentum as they wanted to bat early and put runs on the board. However, the players were asked to walk back to the pavilion and covers were brought onto the pitch. 

At the time of writing this article, the play has resumed and England have already lost a wicket, but dark clouds surround the Headingley and rain threat looms over the rest of the match. Thus, this article will look at the hourley weather update in Leeds.

Weather Forecast At Headingley, Leeds Till End Of Day 2

There is still four hours of play left on day 2, but unfortunately, thunderstorm warnings has been issued for the rest of the day. At present, there are 74% chances of precipitation, but the weather will get better in the next two hours as rain is only predicted to be between 30-40% till 10 pm.

• Tea - 16:50 - 17:10 (9:20 pm - 9:40 pm IST)
• Last session - 17:10 - 18:43 (9:40 - 11:13 pm IST)
