Rishabh Pant The Entertainer Strikes Again With Century And Chatter
But on Saturday, it was his chatter during a knock for the ages that had fans in stitches. While stitching a massive 209-run stand with skipper Shubman Gill, Rishabh Pant showed that the mic may as well be part of his gear.
As the England bowlers tried everything from sledges to short balls, Pant was seen having an animated chat with Gill between deliveries. “Usko tha abhi…frustrate hua hai, marega iss ball pe,” he said, cheekily explaining how the bowler wanted to bait him into a false shot.
The duo shared laughs, nods, and strategy chats which was pure gold for lip readers and fans alike. He then also lauded the bowler saying “Bada ball daal diya yaar. Respect karna padd gaya kaafi tagda.”
At one point, Gill asked, “Samne maar ke bhaagega Rishabh?” to which Pant quipped, “Mai waise nahi marta.”

Rishabh Pant's Century Puts Visitors On Top In ENG vs IND 1st Test
Between all the chatter, Pant put on an absolute clinic with the bat. Smashing 134 off 178 balls, he tore into England’s attack with 12 boundaries and six monstrous sixes.
Controlled chaos, that is how you would describe the way he danced down the track one ball and dead-batted the next. The cherry on top? The sheer fun he had doing it.
On the other hand, captain Shubman Gill, calm as ever, made 147 as the duo took India to a mammoth 471 before being bowled out just before Lunch on Day 2.
