Continuing his stellar run in the 2023 World Cup, stylish New Zealand batter Rachin Ravindra hammered yet another blistering knock in the tournament. Regarded highly for his stroke play and consistency, the southpaw slammed a scintillating ton during the BlackCaps' ongoing World Cup face-off against Pakistan in Bengaluru.

With rain expected to arrive, Pakistani skipper Babar Azam opted to bowl on Bengaluru's batting-friendly deck. However, his decision backfired badly on the Men in Green, with Ravindra and Devon Conway stitching a solid 68-run stand for the first wicket.

After Hasan Ali got rid of Conway, Ravindra took the charge alongside skipper Kane Williamson, solidifying the New Zealand innings with a mammoth second-wicket stand. In this process, he completed a belligerent ton off just 88 deliveries, with the help of fourteen fours and a six.

This is Ravindra's third century in the 2023 World Cup. Before this game, he clobbered magnificent hundreds against Australia and England besides scoring valuable fifties against India and the Netherlands.

Furthermore, he is on the cusp of breaking legendary Indian batter Sachin Tendulkar's long-standing World Cup record. Notably, if Ravindra scores eight more runs, he will set the record for the most runs in a World Cup edition, overtaking Tendulkar's tally of 523 runs.
