For the Sunday doubleheader of the PSL 2024 season, Mohammad Rizwan's Multan Sultans will take on Shan Masood's Karachi Kings at Multan Cricket Stadium from 8.00 IST onwards. 

While Rizwan will seek redemption for the 2023 season finals loss, newly minted Karachi skipper Masood will aim for the playoff spot this year.

Multan Sultans finished as the runners-up in the previous PSL season after losing the final to defending champion Lahore Qalandars. The Mohammad Rizwan-led side recorded a successful and dominant performance until the Qalandars played spoilsport. 

Ahead of the new season, Multan Sultans' squad seems significantly balanced. Reeza Hendricks and Dawid Malan have been roped in to secure the top order. 

However, Rizwan is unlikely to give up his opening slot and could come out with Malan.

Shahnawaz Dahani will continue to lead the unit in the bowling department, with Chris Jordan and Usama Mir in the supporting role.

Karachi Kings will seek redemption this PSL season after finishing out of playoffs last year. Shan Masood, Pakistan's Test captain, has been handed over leadership reigns this year.

Karachi Kings' squad for this season is star-studded. Hasan Ali and Mir Hamza will lead the pace attack, whereas Mohammad Nawaz and Shoaib Malik will lead spin bowling duties.
