His hundred was celebrated with a brilliantly executed shot against Mark Wood as he flat-batted a short of a length ball outside off through cover-point for a boundary.

The third Test witnessed Jaiswal stepping into the limelight after India found themselves in a dismal position early in their second innings. The early loss of Rohit Sharma for 19 to the spinning web of Joe Root had set back the hosts, necessitating a strong partnership to reclaim momentum.
