Priyansh Arya was the star performer in DPL 2024, which earned him an IPL contract with Punjab Kings. The left-handed batter made full use of the opportunity and smashed 475 runs in his maiden IPL season to mark his arrival on the big stage.
Now, he is back for the 2025 edition of the Delhi Premier League, and after three failures, he has now smashed a superb century off just 52 balls. He is playing for Outer Delhi Warriors and has blasted a hundred against East Delhi Riders.
Priyansh Arya Makes Strong Return To Form With His Clean-Hitting
Priyansh Arya hit nine sixes in his knock and displayed his characteristic clean-hitting right from the start of his innings. The southpaw started with a single, but on the second ball, he smashed a four. It was followed by some steady batting, but soon he changed gears as the partnership with Karan Garg started gaining momentum.
Garg departed for 43, but Priyansh Arya continued and dominated both pacers and spinners. Against the Pacers, Priyansh Arya smashed his runs at a strike rate of 200 with 60 runs off 30 balls. Arya also scored 51 runs off just 26 balls against spinners and ended up with 111 off 56 balls.
Priyansh Arya's 3rd DPL Ton Takes Outer Delhi Warriors To Massive Score
The batter looked good for a lot more, but Akhil Chaudhary got the better of him in the 18th over. In the last season, he smashed two centuries, and now has added to the tally with his third hundred of DPL.
Priyansh Arya's fireworks for Outer Delhi Warriors against East Delhi Riders have helped his team get to a massive score of 231. Harsh Tyagi and Shivam Sharma smashed to take their team to the end with a strong finish, and would now be looking to do well with the ball in the second half.
They have won one and lost two out of their three matches so far, and would like to take upward flight on the points table as they move forward.
