The stage is set for the third match of SA20 between Paarl Royals and Sunrisers Eastern Cape. The home side, Paarl Royals have lost the toss and Aiden Markram, the skipper of Sunrisers has decided to bat first on a pitch that is known for its slow and low nature.

The defending champions lost their opening encounter after a poor batting performance and with this pitch also known to be difficult to bat, they would need to show more application. Paarl Royals, on the other hand, are playing their first game of the season and have a debutant in the form of Dinesh Karthik.

Joe Root Debuts Along with Dinesh Karthik

Royals will have Joe Root at the top of the order with young Lhuan-dre Pretorus while the duo of David Miller and Dinesh Karthik will have to take the responsibility in the middle order. Bjorn Fortuin and Mujeeb will have Dayyan Galiem to accompany them in the spin department, and they are surely expecting the pitch to help spinners.

Sunrisers, on the other hand, have made one change with Ottneil Baartman included in the XI in place of Beyers Swanepoel. They have the duo of Liam Dawson and Simon Harmer to look after the spin department while Aiden Markram is also likely to roll his arms.
