Mustafizur Rahman is one of the finest white-ball bowlers to emerge from Bangladesh and nearly 10 years after his debut, the man is still going strong. He is now playing Bangladesh Premier league and is Dhaka Capitals' strike bowler.
The left-arm seamer has picked a wicket in every game so far and in the 16th match against Sylhet Strikers, he once again showed his class with the new ball. Mustafizur got the big wicket of Rahkeem Cornwall in the very first ball of the run-chase. It was a lovely inswinger that would make even Wasim Akram proud.
Mustafizur Strikes Early For Dhaka Capitals
A fullish delivery that swung into right-hander Rahkeem Cornwall and the batter failed to get a bat on it as it hit his back leg. It looked plumb as soon as the ball hit the pad and the umpire gave it out as Fizz and his teammates appealed. Cornwall though took the DRS in a hope that the ball will miss the stumps. It did not go well for him though as the Ball Tracking showed three reds and the original decision stayed.
Cornwall was not happy and he walked back in disappointment. After his wicket Sylhet Strikers lost two more wickets in the Powerplay and despite a good knock from Zakir Hasan, the regular wickets did not help their cause.
Dhaka Capitals scored 193 while batting first with Litton Das scoring 73 off just 43 balls. Both teams have not won a single match this season and Dhaka now would be hoping to wrap this game up and take that upward flight on the points table.
