Phil Salt finally came to life in the ongoing T20I series Vs India and went berserk against their bowlers on a lively wicket at the Wankhede Stadium. England needed a mountain to climb if they were to chase down a daunting 248, and for that, they needed Salt to deliver the goods, which he eventually did.
The English opener took a special liking towards comeback man, Mohammed Shami as he tonked him for a couple of boundaries and a six in the first over. This shook Shami's confidence and Salt came to life for his team. He showed the Wankhede stadium his capability as no Indian bowler was spared and he reached his fifty in just 21 balls.

Phil Salt's rampage ensured that he reached the half-century mark in just 21 balls and in the process he smacked the fastest fifty by an England player Vs India in T20Is (21 balls). However, his joy was short-lived as the unlikely source, Shivam Dube came into the attack and dismissed Salt for a well-compiled 55 off 23 balls.
With his dismissal, the visitors crumbled as wickets started to fell at regular intervals with the Indian spinners tightening the grip.
