Notably, the high-octane clash was slated to commence at 10.30 AM IST this morning. However, rain arrived at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium to delay the proceedings.

But, fortunately for the players as well as the fans, the rain finally stopped, with the conditions easing out and making way for a riveting contest.

After assessing the playing conditions, including the pitch and outfield, the match officials decided to schedule the all-important toss at 2.00 PM local time (2.30 PM IST), with the game beginning half an hour later.

Considering the surface in Rawalpindi has a nice covering of grass, the toss-winning team might opt to bowl and capitalise on the seam-friendly conditions.
