Babar Azam, Pakistan’s premier batting talent, has failed for the second consecutive time in the BBL 2025-26 season. His bad form has led to incessant trolling on social media.

Azam, signed by the Sydney Sixers, was dismissed on 2 off 5 balls in the tournament opener.

Moreover, in the Sydney Sixers’ first home game of the BBL 2025-26 season at SCG, Babar Azam was humiliated again.

Luke Wood bowled a short-of-length delivery, and Babar went for a pull. But the Pakistan star couldn’t keep the shot down, offering a simple catch to Matthew Short at mid-wicket. 

Wood celebrated aggressively as England tightened their grip, with Babar’s soft dismissal once again raising questions about his form in pressure situations.

This is the second time Babar Azam has been dismissed on a single-digit score, and fans trolled and mocked him on social media.

A fans questioned his credentials as a T20 player and also said that he doesn’t deserve a BBL contract.

That being said, Babar Azam is going through a rough patch in the T20 format. In 2025, he played 8 games, scoring 206 runs at 34.33 average and just two half-centuries.

He was briefly dropped from Pakistan’s T20I side before getting included again later in the year. With the T20 World Cup 2026 on the horizon, Babar Azam’s form is concerning for Pakistan.
