On Wednesday, December 17, the ICC updated their weekly ranking charts and rewarded India and South Africa players for their performances in the ongoing five-match T20Is series. Star spinner Varun Chakaravarthy scripted history as the right-arm spinner became the highest-ever rated T20I Indian bowler.
Varun Chakaravarthy extended his stay at the top of the T20I bowlers ranking and has a rating points of 818, the most by an Indian bowler in the history of rankings. He surpasses Jasprit Bumrah's record of 783 rating to script this feat. Here is the list of highest-rated Indian bowlers in ICC T20I ranking charts.

Varun Chakaravarthy in fine form for India
The right-arm spinner is having a series to remember against South Africa as the 34-year-old has six wickets in just three matches. In the first three games, Varun has picked up a brace in every game and also bowled with an economy of 5.36.
Overall, it has been a great year for the KKR-based cricketer as he has been India's leading wicket-taker in T20Is with 32 wickets in 19 innings.
SKY slips to No. 10, Arshdeep Singh rises
Other than Varun, the ranking saw massive changes in the rankings for other Indian talents. Here are some of the massive moves.
Arshdeep Singh, who has four wickets in the series, has climbed four spots to rank 16th. Jasprit Bumrah, who has left the tour due to personal reasons has slipped to 28th place.
Tilak Varma, after his fifty has climbed two spots to now rank 4th on the rankings. Meanwhile, Suryakumar Yadav has reached a new low as the former No.1 rated T20I batter is now placed 10th and is on the brink of moving out of the top 10 after a long time.
