Senior all-rounder Sophie Devine demonstrated her batting excellence with a blistering half-century alongside Brooke Halliday before New Zealand bowlers collectively blew away the Bangladeshis in Guwahati.

Here, we take a look at the entire highlights of the 11th match of the 2025 Women’s World Cup between Bangladesh Women and New Zealand Women, as it panned out at the Barsapara Cricket Stadium in Guwahati on Friday, October 10.

Sophie Devine and Halliday crank up New Zealand to 227

New Zealand Women lost each of their top three batters, including Suzie Bates (29 off 33) at just 38 on the board inside the first 11 overs, with Bangladesh’s Rabeya Khan scalping two of those wickets. Tottering early in the game, captain Sophie Devine led New Zealand from the front by crafting a 112-run partnership with Brooke Halliday for the fourth wicket.

Both Sophie (63 off 85) and Brooke (69 off 104) stuck courageous half-centuries, before another batting collapse tilted the tide back in Bangladesh’s favour. New Zealand eventually accrued 227-9 from 50 overs, with Rabeya making the biggest impact for Bangladesh through figures of 3-30. Marufa Akter, Nahida Akter, Nishita Akter Nishi and Fahima Khatun also chipped in with a wicket each.

Rosemary Mair, Jess Kerr demolish Bangladesh Women
