Recently, the Kolkata Knight Riders skipper Nitish Rana responded to a Twitter post where Gautam Gambhir and the KKR franchise owner Shahrukh Khan were seen posing together. While responding to the post, Rana hinted towards a possibility that Gambhir could return to KKR to fulfil his coaching ambitions in the near future.

Gautam Gambhir and Andy Flower served as the team mentor for the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) in the earlier edition of the IPL. But the former Indian opener is expected to part ways with LSG before the next IPL season.

On his Twitter handle, Gambhir expressed his delight in collaborating with the Bollywood King and wrote that he had numerous things to learn from SRK.

“He’s not just the king of Bollywood but the king of hearts. Every time we meet, I go back with endless love and respect. So much to learn from u. Simply the best, SRK.”

Rana took cognisance of the post and promptly responded by stating that these are potential signs of Gambhir eyeing to make a comeback to the KKR think tank.

Gambhir represented KKR from 2011-17, leading them to titles in 2012 and 2014. He concluded his IPL stint by becoming the leading run scorer for KKR with 3345 runs, including 30 half-centuries, in 122 T20s. Furthermore, the 41-year-old also shares a special connection with KKR as he continues to receive a warm reception from Eden Gardens.

The Lucknow Super Giants Twitter handle responded to Nitish's claim in a hilarious manner using the theme of the famous Indian show "Taarak Mehta Ka Ulta Chashma".

LSG replied To Rana: Nitish bhai Masti nahi

LSG reminded him not to get too mischievous with his assumptions, like the character "Goli". As per the latest reports, it is confirmed that Andy Flower will not feature as a mentor of the squad ahead of the 2024 edition. At such a stage, LSG cannot afford to see the back of Gautam Gambhir, whose contribution has been invaluable to the young IPL side.
