Team Previews
San Francisco Unicorns
The Aaron Finch-led unit marked their arrival in style as they defeated a strong MI New York in their first match of the tournament.
Corey Anderson and Shadab Khan were the stars with the bat, while Carmi Le Roux and Liam Plunkett were the top wicket-takers.
The major takeaway from their first game was that Unicorns didn't have the best of starts, losing four wickets with only 50 on the board after electing to bat first. However, the duo of Anderson and Shadab did the rescue job perfectly and posted an above-par total of 215.
This shows how this team is capable of getting back in the game from any adversity. Finch and his men will now look to continue the winning momentum and make it two wins in a row on Sunday.
Seattle Orcas
On the other hand, Seattle Orcas won their first match as well, defeating Washington Freedom by five wickets. Imad Wasim was at his all-round best, bowling exceptionally well and scored an unbeaten 43 to see his side home.
Overall, the bowlers did fine as they restricted the opposition to a below-par total but captain Wayne Parnell will be hoping his batters have a better day in the office.
The likes of Quinton de Kock, Heinrich Klaasen and Shimron Hetmyer had a poor outing with the bat in the first game. They need to be at their best to tackle down an inform Unicorns’ side and continue their winning ways to make it two wins in a row.

Pitch Report
The surface at the Grand Prairie Stadium has shown contrasting behaviors in the first three games. However, it is expected to be a bit slower and assist the bowlers more as the game goes on. The first innings score is expected to be around 160 and the team winning the toss should bat first.
