In an interesting turn of events during the final moments of Day 3 at Lord's, Indian players were involved in a heated exchange with English openers. The incident happened during the only over India bowled in England's second innings on Day 3.

There were just a few moments left in the game, and so Crawley was trying to make it as short a stay as possible. Therefore, when Jasprit Bumrah was loading up to bowl the third ball of the over, Crawley pulled out multiple times. It irritated Jasprit Bumrah, who was keen to attack English openers, and then the captain, Shubman Gill also joined in to show his frustration.

Indian Players Show Great Unity Against Crawley's Time-Wasting Tactics

Soon, the other Indian players also surrounded the English batter, and Mohammed Siraj as usual had some unkind words to say for Zak Crawley. Shubman Gill, though, was the most aggressive of the lot, and made some ugly gestures towards Crawley, which inflated the tensions even further.

The time-wasting tactics from Zak Crawley continued even after that altercation and on the fifth ball, the batter was hit on the glove while defending a length delivery. The English batter immediately called up physio for some treatment, and it did not go well with the Indian players, who all started clapping sarcastically.

Zak Crawley, on the other side of the spectrum was not happy with Indian players and was involved in heated conversation with quite a few of them. Even Ben Duckett and Shubman Gill came pretty close to each other for comfort as umpires tried to tone down players from both the sides.

Day 3 Drama Adds Extra Layer Of Excitement In Lord's Test

Eventually, Zak Crawley played out the final ball and his antics made sure that English openers get to play only one over. However, the consequences of the intense fight on Day 3 might be seen on Day 4 too, and expect more sledging and intense action in the remainder of the game.

The match is quite evenly poised at the end of the third day as India and England ended with exactly similar scores after each of their first innings. The series is also levelled at 1-1 and the stage looks set for an exciting finish.
