England walloped India by five wickets and few minutes to spare on Day 5 of a thrilling first Test of the series at Headingley in Leeds. Chasing 371 runs and 350 of them on the final day, English opener Ben Duckett punched out a splendid 149 from just 170 deliveries, and shared an attacking 188-run opening partnership with half-centurion Zak Crawley.
Taking a 1-0 lead in the five-match Test series and opening their account on the 2025-27 WTC points table, England also racked up a slew of huge Test records and milestones through the course of their latest ‘BazBall’ masterclass.
