KL Rahul Included As England Lions Ask India A To Bat First In 2nd Unofficial Test

In the 2nd unofficial Test between India A and England Lions In Northampton, the hosts won the toss and asked the Abhimanyu Easwaran-led side to bat first. Notably, the first Test didn't fetch any result and ended in a draw. 

Both teams have made changes to their playing XI. England Lions have Jordan Cox, George Hill, Chris Woakes, Farhan Ahmed, and Josh Tongue returning for them and eyes would be on the England seamer, who is also a part of England's squad for the India Tests. Further, Josh Tongue is also included in Three Lions squad for India series. 

For India, KL Rahul returns as the right-handed batter was not a part of the first unofficial Test and requested to be a part of the ongoing match by flying earlier to England. Besides Rahul, Tanush Kotian, Khaleel Ahmed, and Tushar Deshpande will be featuring in the 2nd Test, while Mukesh Kumar, Harshit Rana, Sarfaraz Khan, and Harsh Dubey miss out.

How England Lions Fared In The 1st Unofficial Test

In the first match, India A batted first and courtesy of top knocks from Sarfaraz Khan, Dhruv Jurel and Karun Nair, they put 557 runs on the board. Notably, Nair scored a double century and justified his selection in the main squad. In reply, England Lions were a step ahead of the visitors and put 587/10 on the board as Tom Haines and Max Holden scored centuries. 

In reply, India A's top order again put a top show as skipper Abhimanyu Easwaran, opener Yashasvi Jaiswal smashed fifties.
